THE BASICS
Mildew-
Presoak in Tide or Tide Colorsafe Bleach using 1/4 cup either of Ink- Rinse under running cold water to remove as much ink as possible. Rub with a bar soap such as Ivory. Wash, using either Tide or Cheer detergent, hot water and bleach that is safe for the fabric, such as Tide Colorsafe bleach. Cosmetics- Dampen the stain and rub with Tide paste. Rinse. Launder. Perspiration- Dampen stain with warm water and rub with Ivory bar soap. Launder in hot water with chlorine bleach, if safe for fabric. Launder in hottest water safe both for the fabric and the color. Note: If perspiration has changed the color of a fabric, apply ammonia to the stains and rinse. Auto Grease- Pretreat garment with paste made of Tide or cheer detergent and water. Wash garment per instructions. For heavy stains, place stained area face down on paper towels applying dry cleaning solvent to back side of stain, replacing towels frequently. Let garment dry, then rub in either Tide or Cheer detergent paste and wash. Mustard- Pretreat garment with Tide paste, or dampen with water and rub with a bar soap like Ivory. Rinse and wash using a chlorine bleach if safe for fabric. If not, soak in Tide Colorsafe bleach and the hottest water that is safe for the fabric. Wash per instructions. Good Luck !
